San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum

Visiting the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum for the first time, I found it a peaceful place for meaningful reflection and photography

After waking up and having a relaxing morning at my hotel, The Inn at Saratoga, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Saratoga, I asked myself what I desired to do for the day. Ticking off the mental list of what I’d previously done in San Francisco, there was only a few things left. One of those items? Visiting the San Francisco Botanical Garden at Strybing Arboretum.

This was my first time at the San Francisco Botanical Garden! I had a lovely walk and fun discovering beautiful new delicacies of Earth, in a different garden than I’m used to.

Similar to my experience at Denver Botanic Garden – DO NOT overlook reciprocal garden memberships! If you have a membership to Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge or a similar botanical garden, you get complimentary entry into San Francisco Botanical Garden!

I had an absolutely beautiful, retrospective time in the San Francisco Botanical Gardens.

Again: If you have a membership at a botanical garden near you, be sure to check if that garden has reciprocal entry to any other botanical garden in the US! It’s a little special fact that allowed my admission to be complimentary.
