Her Thai

Her Thai, located in the La Brea district, is the perfect spot for delicious, fast casual Thai food in Los Angeles

I’m lucky to be apart of some delightful dining groups. For our last meet up, we enjoyed Sara’s pick of dinner at Teleferic Barcelona 1992, which was Spanish inspired excellence. For my pick, I was curious about the new concept by the company that established, Met Him at a Bar, Her Thai.

As I struggled with the new permit only parking around La Brea and 8th, Ted arrived, secured a coveted seat inside and ordered the CRISPY WONTONS (cream cheese, wonton wrap, served with sweet & sour sauce). After securing parking, it was the perfect welcome to walk into.

For dinner, I ordered the FRESH ROLLS (rice paper, mixed green, carrots, crispy noodles, served with peanut sauce) and the DRUNKEN NOODLES (flat rice noodle, chili, basil + beef / medium spicy). A wise note – when I ordered the noodles, I was told that if I wasn’t used to traditional Thai spice, to actually order a level down. I’m so damn happy I did. That turned out to be the perfect spice amount for me.

To drink, I ordered the CHA MA-NOW (Thai Iced Tea with Lime). Which was such a unique and refreshing taste. Usually, my go to is a Thai ice tea with cream. So, it was nice to have Thai iced tea with such a complimentary taste of lime.

Overall, it was a nice, chill experience of delicious Thai food from a trendy location in the heart of the La Brea district.

After finishing up at Her Thai, the three of us had beers at Little Bar, across the street. It was literally the perfect place to cheers over a Delirium Tremens (my first since that delicious pint in Ghent, Belgium) and continuing talking about funny antidotes from our lives.

Day One friends from middle school are some of the best friends one can have in life.

Every day, I’m grateful and thankful for my friendships.
