Before it burned down, The Restaurant at Meadowood Napa Valley gave me an absolutely incredible, stunning night of service and food
Nestled in the serene landscape of Napa Valley, The Restaurant at Meadowood beckoned Johann and I with its unparalleled, Michelin-starred culinary experience.
Since its inception in 2006 and until the Glass Incident Fire wiped it out in late 2020, this esteemed restaurant was a crown jewel of Wine Country dining, drawing guests with its innovative cuisine and warm hospitality.
For our reservation, we sat outside amidst the backdrop of lush vineyards and rolling hills.
Our reservation was perfect for viewing the breathtaking spectacle that is sunset over Napa Valley.
As the sun descended behind the trees, it cast a warm golden glow that gradually transitioned into a stunning panoramic canvas. The picturesque contrast against the vibrant sky, with the welcome drinks at The Restaurant, offered me a sense of peace and serenity.
Dinner at The Restaurant was an unforgettable experience that captivated my senses and evoked a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature and food as an art form.
For our night, our menu was the following:
Marigold Tea
Sungold Tomato Beef Garum, Piel De Sapo Melon Shiso & Grilled Baby Summer Squash
Iceplant Smoked Butter
Gourgère Of Sour Corn
Rye Tostada Everything From The Greenhouse
Grilled Cucumber Geoduck Eucalyptus
Eggplant Caviar
Black Cod Day Lily
Abalone Local Seaweeds Porcini Mushrooms
Quail And Sunflower In Two Servings
As the sun set over our slice of heaven, I was so thankful for having such an incredible experience.
Plus, when I got a bit cold, the staff came out and gave me a pashmina scarf to wrap myself in.
Dining continued…..
Fermented Potato Gnocchi Dairy Cow Braseola
Lone Mountain Short Rib Fresh And Fermented and Lettuces Black Truffle
Last Years Plums Red Flowers
Koji Soufflé
Summer Berries
It was an extraordinary fine dining experience in Napa Valley.
