As Johann and I are ought to do, we found ourself using another wonderful Dine LA week to enjoy the cultivated menu at Citrin x Mélisse in Santa Monica.
Citrin x Mélisse is a collaboration between two titans of the culinary world, Josiah Citrin and Alexandre Mazzia, to produce a dining experience that transcends the ordinary. Citrin, the visionary behind the iconic Melisse in Santa Monica, and Mazzia, the avant-garde maestro of AM in Marseille, France, joined to create Citrin x Mélisse, a gastronomic journey that tantalizes the senses and redefines the boundaries of fine dining.
Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of French and American culinary traditions, the collaborative menu at Citrin x Mélisse is a symphony of flavors, textures, and aromas meticulously orchestrated by Citrin and Mazzia.
Because I saw it served at another table, I ordered the MIDNIGHT MARGARITA (Charcoal Tequila, Cointreau, Agave, Lime).
After the amuse-bouche, the dinner courses followed:

Duo of Beef, Snake River Farms Sirloin and Short Rib, Green Asparagus, Green Garlic, with Borage Condiment
Pudwill Berries and Cream, Crème Fraiche Chiffon, Sheep’s Milk Frozen Yogurt
Each dish was a masterpiece, meticulously crafted to delight and surprise. I savored my last bites as I reflected on the sensory pleasure of fine dining in Los Angeles.
Dinner at Citrin x Mélisse was a comforting experience of gastronomic delight. As with all my meals with Johann, the menu gave way to an unforgettable dining experience that was nothing short of extraordinary.
