Dining at the temporary pop up, Tidbits by Dialogue, was a lovely introduction to the world of Chef Dave Beran
In the midst of COVID-19 shutterings, there were a high number of places that did that they had to do to make it work.
With his main restaurant, Dialogue, closed, Chef Dave Beran opened Tidbits by Dialogue. Which is how Johann and I found our way there, for a late lunch in August.
We started with an order of the HAMACHI SALAD (honeydew melon, aguachile) and the CHOI SUM (strawberries, tamarind).
For our bread course, we had the HOUSE MADE BAGUETTE (seasoned butter). Which went brilliantly with us splitting the HANGER STEAK (sautéed scallions, chimichurri, sea grapes) and the BRAISED PORK BELLY (kombu, burnt peach jus).
We ended with the BURNT BASQUE CHEESECAKE and an ICE CREAM SANDWICH.
With how delicious the food was at Tidbits, I definitely look forward to eating at his other restaurant, Pasjoli, soon.
