Barbecue and a beer at Big Sur Smokehouse was the best way to say "Happy Birthday" to a new year, in Big Sur, California
After spending the night in Avila Beach at Avila La Fonda Hotel, I didn’t want to go home just quite yet. As it was still COVID-19, I felt depressed being at home in Los Angeles.
After some bargaining, we decided to continue up the coast and up to Big Sur.
A few hours later, we were seated at Big Sur Smokehouse, waiting for our deliciously smelling meals.
I ordered the TRI-TIP SANDWICH (Hawaiian bun, coleslaw, house pickles, choice of sauce) with SMOKED CORN RELISH as a side. With a solid IPA beer to go with it.
It was truly delicious. To enjoy delicious barbecue and a beer in the midst of one of my favorite places on Earth was true magic.
It was the happiest of birthday in Big Sur.
