Stopping at Copper Top BBQ on the way to Mammoth Lakes was the perfect way to enjoy slow smoked barbecue while enjoying the Eastern Sierras
When I told Amanda that I was planning a weekend in Mammoth Lakes, in the Eastern Sierra Mountains, she raved about her favorite barbecue spot – Copper Top BBQ in Big Pine.
After viewing the menu earlier in the week, I was ecstatic to breakup the straight shot drive out of Los Angeles with a pause to stop, stretch and enjoy delicious food.
I ordered the TRI-TIP SANDWICH MEAL (with 2 rolls, 1 side and 1 fountain drink). I added onions, banana peppers and pickles. For my side, I chose the GREEN CHILI.
This was absolutely outstandingly delicious. Some of the best barbecue I’ve had outside of Texas.
One of the best aspects of Copper Top BBQ is that it’s located with the Eastern Sierras right in front of you.
Plus, when you stop there, you’re only an hour away from Mammoth Lakes.
