Dinner at Redbird has always been a delicious time in Downtown Los Angeles, California
I’d been to Redbird a few times, but this was a time to remember. There’s something about a dinner that celebrates the love of two people that made it even more special.
The dinner started with a CITRUS SALAD (local chicories, whipped burrata, coriander, cocoa nib, chill arbol, tangerine oil). It continued with the HAMACHI CRUDO (blood orange ponzu, puffed rice, shiso) and SHISHITOS (bottarga, crispy quinoa).
For mains, we all shared the RIGATONI (garden kale pesto, muscat grapes, pistachio), RACK OF RED WATTLE PORK (polenta, Oregon hazelnuts, collards, fig mostarda, calvados sauce) and PORTERHOUSE (Colorado beef, king oyster mushrooms, aceto balsamico)
For desserts, we passed around the SMORES BAR (candied almonds, feuilletine crunch, toasted marshmallow) and PAIN PERDU (lemon curd, berries) rounded out dessert.
It was a celebration worthy of celebrating love.
Likewise, Redbird has always been a solid choice for dinner. My dinners with Channel were always memorable.
