The Langham Huntington, Pasadena

My stay at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena made for a unique staycation in Pasadena, California

Wanting to not deal with traffic due to being in and attending a wedding in Pasadena, I opted to stay at The Langham Huntington, Pasadena.

The Langham Huntington, Pasadena, formerly known as The Huntington Hotel, holds a distinguished place in the history of Pasadena, California.

The hotel opened its doors in February 1907, boasting breathtaking views of the San Gabriel Mountains. The hotel’s lush gardens, manicured grounds, and iconic pink stucco facade contributed to its reputation as a premier destination for luxury and relaxation.

Location

See, the weird thing is that I honestly live close to this hotel and thought that it would be best to stay in Pasadena. But, I think that it would have been better to just driven from my house.

Again, it’s pretty. But, not my vibe.

Room + Stay

Overall, I just felt that the hotel felt – not my style. It was grand, but unlike Fairmont Château Whistler, it felt dated. It could have been that the feng shui was off in my room. But, it was just – bland.

Overall

Overall, I would revisit the Langham for high tea. But the decor and vibe is one and done for me. I expected to see ghosts – and was happy I didn’t.
