Cara Restaurant

The restaurant at the Cara Hotel was a gorgeous setting to enjoy delicious California inspired cuisine in Thai Town area of Los Angeles, California

When I first met Jem when we both were at a former real estate brokerage, I had no idea that our interactions would develop into a series of great conversations over dinner.

For this lovely experience, I picked Cara Restaurant at the Cara Hotel.

From the photos, I thought it would be a beautiful experience. However, I couldn’t have expected how beautiful it would be. Lounging by the pool under a clear blue sky was A Los Angeles Moment. The aesthetics were visually delicious.

I started with the BUTTERFLY’S DAY OUT (Surf City Vodka, Lemon, Butterfly Tea Syrup, Cava) cocktail. With the edible peony, it was a beautiful way to start the evening.

We continued with the YUCATECAN CEVICHE (Santa Barbara snapper, organic avocado, serrano chili, lime). I loved the lime tang with the

The PROSCIUTTO AND MELON (heirloom melons, basil, olive oil) was delicious. I love the summer influence of melons and meat into Southern California cuisine.

Next came the LEMON PASTA (fettuccine, lemon, Parmesan), which we shared with the CHARGRILLED BROCCOLINI (Lemon)

We ended with VANILLA LATTES as the sun set beyond the Hollywood sign.
