Lunch at White Horse Spirits & Kitchen hit the spot for delicious and modern cuisine in Salt Lake City, Utah
There’s something about landing in Salt Lake City that immediately makes me hungry. I’ve had a few layovers and connecting flights through Salt Lake City – and I immediately head to a lounge for food. Must be the change in altitude.
So, when we landed in Salt Lake City for a weekend in Park City, I found myself immediately starving for lunch.
Luckily, White Horse Spirits & Kitchen was open and ready to feed my hunger.
As we sat down, I was taken back by how beautiful the space was. I didn’t expect Salt Lake City to be so trendy and food forward. I honestly expected it to be as bootleg country as it was when I visited, over a decade ago. Looking around White Horse Spirits & Kitchen, I was extremely glad to be proven wrong.
I let the bartender design my drink and ended up with a TART TODDY (Four Roses Bourbon, Gran Classico Bitter, New World Distillery Wasatch Blossom Utah Tart Cherry Liqueur, lemon juice, honey simple). It was great.
Next out, was an order of the POTATO CHIPS AND ONION DIP. I had no idea then, but Salt Lake City and Park City area are known for having chips and dip on the menu, everywhere. And the dip is actually really good.
The SWEET N’ SPICY PICKLES were also a hit.
For my main course, I went completely off my normal routine and ordered a BURATA SALAD (Roasted squash, sliced Brussels sprouts, pistachios, white balsamic vinegar dressing, pickled shallots, a baguette). I wanted something light but filling and delicious. This was exactly that.
Overall, lunch at White Horse Spirits & Kitchen was a lovely welcome to the cuisine of Salt Lake City, Utah.
