My time at The Bluebird Cocktail Room in Baltimore was one of the best experiences at a bar I’ve had in recent memory
After enjoying my time with Jonelle at Good Neighbor Baltimore, I wanted to find a place to spend some time before meeting Amy for dinner. I found the Bluebird Cocktail Room to fit exactly what I desired.
After climbing the stairs and making my way to the second floor of the compound, I entered the bar area. I was immediately floored. The Bluebird Cocktail Room was absolutely gorgeous. It truly felt like I was stepping into someone’s intimate conversation with interior design.
Settling in at a table, I knew that I wanted something light, uniquely Baltimore and delicious. My waitress immediately suggested the cocktail SOME RESERVATIONS (Sotol La Higuera Dasylirion Wheeleri, Baltimore Pit Beef BBQ Mushroom Syrup, Horseradish Tincture, Mushroom Ice Sphere).
Now, it had been close to two years since I’d last enjoyed and order of fried green tomatoes. It happened to be a decent, passable dish during lunch at AG Restaurant at the The Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta. So, when I saw the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES (cherry tomatoes confiture, pistou, chili crisp, caputo vecchio salata cheese), I immediately said yes, please.
The fried green tomatoes served at the Bluebird Cocktail Room were well flavored and fried to perfection. The Some Reservations cocktail – well, the drink literally had a mushroom encased in ice in it. Plus, it was simply so visually delightful. Before I knew it, it was time to meet Amy and leave the beautiful decadence of the bar.
