Good Neighbor Baltimore

Getting coffee at Good Neighbor was a great way to settle in to the sights and vibes of Baltimore, Maryland

After a 2 hour delay on the Amtrak ride from New York to Baltimore, I was in desperate need for satisfaction and friendship. Since the delay had completely shifted my day, I was delighted that Jonelle, one of my friends that I’d come to visit for the day, was able to pick me up from the Baltimore Penn Station train station.

Jonelle took me on a tour,  showing me around her favorite parts of Baltimore. I fell in love with the city. I’ve always loved the East Coast more than the West Coast. The seasons and the culture were always more my speed. But, as she showed me Druid Hill Park, the lake and the beautiful landscape of the city, I truly realized I loved Baltimore.

We ended our tour at her favorite coffee shop, Good Neighbor on Falls Road. Now, upon first entering, I’ve never fallen in visual love with a coffee shop so fast. If it was in Los Angeles, I’d never want to leave. It was beautifully decorated with curated products that were a pleasure to browse.

Moseying up to the coffee bar, I ordered the FLAT WHITE and added ROSEWATER CARDAMOM flavoring. We took our drinks outside and basked in the cool autumn air. Upon first sip of my coffee, it was confirmed: It was absolutely delicious.

As the sun slowly drifted toward the horizon, a lovely dog named Fiagro wanted to make our acquaintance. Conversation flowed as I felt myself relax in the space. I wanted to spend hours there, soaking up the energy.

Before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye.
