Dinner at Orsa & Winston is a delicious journey into the culinary mind of Chef Josef Centeno, pairing Italian and Japanese inspiration in DTLA

Founded in 2013 by the visionary Chef Josef Centeno, Orsa & Winston invites diners on a transcendent journey through the intersection of two rich culinary traditions: Italian and Japanese.

When Johann and I sat for dinner, I didn’t know what to expect. The space was gorgeous and intimate – and very distinctly Downtown Los Angeles.

We sat and I browsed the tasting menu. Immediately, I was excited for the night’s culinary adventure.

I ordered a NEGRONI, and then we began….

alyssum, oregano ponzu, shiso

Abalone

girl & dug greens, lemongrass oil, cucumber gazpacho

Squid Ink Cavatelli

lobster, brown butter, parmesan cream

Slow Braised Beef Rib

cavolo nero, maitake, red wine, koji + cornbread


Frog Hollow Pear Tart Almond

caramel, whipped cream + with more delights

As the sun faded into the night, dinner at Orsa & Winston was love and lust in every bite.
