Morrison – Burbank

Morrison's location in the Valley offered exactly what I needed - a solid burger - in Burbank, California

After an incredibly challenging week, I was in honest need of a solid, reliable place to get good food and talk to friends. So, when sent out a text to some friends, I was ecstatic that Ronnie and Hilary invited me to join them at Morrision’s Burbank location.

Now, I’d visited their location in Los Feliz a few times. So, I was extremely happy to see the officially open sign on their location in Burbank.

I ordered a WHISTLE PIG OLD FASHIONED (Whistle Pig Bourbon 6yr, Maple Syrup, Black Walnut Bitters, Orange Peel, Luxardo Cherry) and for the first time, began to relax.

The BACON BOURBONATOR BURGER (Angus beef patty, thick cut bacon, blue cheese crumbles, bacon & onion jam, side of fries) – to the point, simply hits perfectly.

It’s delicious, juicy, and full of “this will satisfy your hunger for need for comfort” energy.

Sipping the MORRISON MANHATTAN (Old Overholt Rye, Sweet Vermouth, Aromatic Bitters) finished out our conversation perfectly.

Sometimes, all you need to get out of the house, meet up with friends over a delicious burger and drinks – and just, breathe.

And to remember, grief never really goes away.

It just gets slightly lighter. And, that’s okay.
