Mirador Restaurant at Hotel Villa Caletas

After a quick flight to San Jose from Cancun and a 1.5 hour drive to Hotel Villa Caletas, I was just in time for a wedding reception dinner at Mirador.

After a week in the Yucatan jungle, I was ready for a location change. I needed a transition between my life in America and the deep, profound journey I’d been on.

Luckily, having a friend get married in Costa Rica satisfied this desire – and more. After a quick flight to San Jose from Cancun, a beautiful sunset drive and a quick change after check in, I was ready to celebrate love.

First Appetizer

Light salad served with a fresh cheese and candied tomato bruschetta

Second Appetizer

Lobster and shrimp bisque with a splash of pernod

Main Course

Herbs de Provence crusted rack of Lamb served with mashed potatoes and vegetables

Dessert

Wedding Cake

The food was delicious. But, what was even better – were the drinks. Personally, for me, it felt like a celebration. As the wine and celebratory toasts flowed, I conversed, drank and enjoyed it all.
