After lunch at Morimoto Napa, Sara and I sauntered over to California Brandy, on First Street, to partake in some liquids, as our rooms at Andaz Napa were still being readied.
Honestly, this was my first brandy tasting and I didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The line up was brilliantly designed and delivered. With the addition of the chocolates, we had a relaxing sojourn as life passed us by. After all, there’s only so much you can do while you wait for your room to be available.
It was during the brandy and chocolate tasting that the two wolves inside us, gave birth to a third wolf. And all three of them said hi. The booze chocolate was good. With the Brandy Alexander chocolate being the best. But, let’s get back to the fact that they are trying to make brandy happen. They’re trying to make brandy happen, like the word “fetch”…..
Brandy is not for the light of heart. It is a strong master of craftsmanship. Predictably, my favorite was the Germain-Robin XO. I greatly enjoy an oaky, well rounded, matured spirit. As such, it was awesome.
Greatly appreciated our time at California Brandy House to relax and unwind in Napa.
