A walking tour of the cherry blossom along the National Mall was the perfect way to capture the emerging beauty of spring, in Washington DC
For years, I had a dream of visiting Washington, D.C. and touring the cherry blossoms. After discussing the idea with my friend Johann, we made plans to visit the east coast and tour the blossoms together.
As I was staying at the Thompson Washington DC, it was only a short ride away to meet Johann at the Washington Monument.
Washington Monument
Starting our walking tour at the Washington Monument was splendid and almost visually overwhelming. I felt myself bask in the beautiful of my surroundings.
World War II Memorial
We continued our photography walk to the World War II Memorial.
Lincoln Memorial
From the World War II Memorial, we continued our walk to the Lincoln Memorial.
Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial
After parting ways, I finished my walking tour with a walk over to the Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial.
The beauty of my mid morning into the afternoon walk was astonishing.
The Earth is simply magnificent it it’s glory.
