Surrounded by crystalline waters and lush tropical foliage at Renaissance Island at Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort, I looked off the coast and thought. "if I squint, I can maybe see Venezuela."
In the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea lies an enchanting retreat, a haven of serenity and luxury known as Renaissance Island. Nestled just off the coast of Aruba, this private oasis is a testament to the unparalleled beauty of the Caribbean and the art of refined relaxation.
After breakfast at The Dutch Pancake House, I decided that we should make our way to Flamingo Island. I mean, who wouldn’t want to sit on a beach and drink cocktails while looking at flamingos? Seemed like heaven.
It was that, and more.
Once we were on the island, I walked up to a staff member and inquired about the cabanas. After being given a price that made me think I should have just booked it online the night before online (sigh) – I ended up renting a cabana for us.
And was SO happy that I did – some experiences are simply worth it.
Imagine the ultimate relaxation on a secluded paradise, where time slows to the rhythm of gentle waves lapping against powdery white shores. The afternoon unfolded in a blissful symphony of leisure: lounging in a hammock under swaying palm trees, sipping on refreshing tropical drinks water, and indulging in bar snacks.
In this tranquil oasis, every moment marked a celebration of nature’s beauty and the pure joy of unwinding in paradise. I snorkeled among the fish and became one with island life. And yes, there were flamingos.
The drinks and fruit and light bites kept flowing – as the relaxation increased. Seriously, eating fruit on a tropical island is a sensory delight that awakens the taste buds to nature’s vibrant palette.
As the sun set in a fiery display of oranges and pinks over the Caribbean horizon, I was extremely sad to say goodbye to our private bungalow.
It truly was a magical paradise.
