Dinning at Paulaner Wirtshaus was a great introduction to authentic German cuisine, within walking distance of the Grand Hyatt Berlin hotel
Arriving back to the Grand Hyatt Berlin after my Berlin: 1-Hour City Tour by Boat by Get Your Guide, I was feeling hungry for dinner. Taking advice from the front desk on where to find good German food within a walkable distance from the hotel, I ended up at Paulaner Wirtshaus.
After easily getting a table for one, I browsed the menu to see what looked good. To start, I ordered the MÜNCHNER HELLE (Lager beer) to go with the MUNICH “WIRTSHAUS” PRETZEL (Freshly baked pretzel). Unfortunately, the pretzel was rather cold when it arrived to the table. Plus, it was unevenly salted. And it didn’t come with any mustard dips or anything. Just a cold pretzel. I could have done without it.
For dinner, I ordered the “CURRYWURST” HOT PAULA (Grilled red Bratwurst sausage, served with a hot and fruity chili-tomato sauce, curry powder and French fries).
I also ordered a beer to go with it – HACKER-PSCHORRR (Munich Blonde).
THIS was German perfection – not the pretzel. The sausage based dish was delicious.
I easily ate every bite along with the fries.
No leftovers.
