Villa Copenhagen

With style and service to match, Villa Copenhagen hotel offered a gorgeous and comfortable place to stay in Copenhagen, Denmark

Villa Copenhagen was – simply put –  absolutely perfect. It’s located right across from the Copenhagen H metro station and was an experience is comfortable luxury. Its location made it perfect for getting around Copenhagen via Viggo (their version of Uber / Bolt / Lyft) or the metro.

The hotel itself? Gorgeous.

Villa Copenhagen was the perfect mix of luxury, cleanliness and comfort for a good night’s sleep.

Plus, when you have a question, you don’t feel that you’re bothering staff. Everyone is exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and speaks fluent English.

Since this is an independent hotel that you can’t accrue points with (I learned my lesson with my stay at the Four Seasons Vail) I booked my stay through American Express Travel. This ensured an upgrade on check in, guaranteed early check in and late check out, a $100 USD credit and breakfast each morning.

Stay

What can I say about the bed?

It was incredible. Firm and to the point, just like a Danish person’s opinion.

I also greatly enjoyed taking my time in the bathroom. It felt comfortable, clean and well designed. It’s the little things – like the in mirror make up ring light – that made a difference.

 Service

Service at Villa Copenhagen was absolutely lovely.

During check in, after a rather early morning flight from Portugal and coming straight from the airport, I asked our staff person for her suggestions for a close place to eat. She immediately recommended the open air market, Torvehallerne, which was an absolutely brilliant choice.

Walking and meandering to the open market, on a sunny day in Denmark, was stunning.

We ended up eating at Tapa Del Toro at Torvehallerne.

A little after check in, you receive a text that leads you to a digital guest book, curated by the hotel. After few clicks, I found their Copenhagen Guide, which led us to dining at Kalaset for brunch after sleeping in just a bit too late for the in house buffet.

Breakfast

The breakfast buffet at Villa Copenhagen was nicely appointed. I loved the selection of fresh juices, meats, cheeses, hot items and – most importantly – coffee.

I even tried a local delicacy, cod with Danish remoulade. All I can say is – at least I tried something new. One bite of chewy fish with a yellow sauce….

It’s the thought that counts.

And I appreciate it being offered.

Overall

Overall, staying at Villa Copenhagen during my trip to Copenhagen was perfect. The aesthetics of the room – with beautiful floor to ceiling windows – were especially sensually delicious to enjoy as a light rain fell during one morning.

As a surprise, the hotel gave me a Happy Birthday present – a Scandinavian hand cream and a beautiful note!

Combined with the outstanding service, attention to detail and a comfortable bed – and everything was absolutely lovely.

There are some things that cannot be conveyed in a written review. How much pleasure I had in staying at Villa Copenhagen is one of them.
