Staying at the Four Seasons Vail Resort and skiing Vail Mountain was the person pairing for my snowy stay in Vail, Colorado
After a year of vacillating between burying myself in staying busy in order to not to feel grief and fake smiling for people to get through day to day, I wanted to just get away from it all. Based on a desire to visit a few friends I hadn’t seen in almost a decade, I decided to head to Colorado. So, I settled on a stay in Vail and Denver.
Looking at options in Vail, I surveyed my options. I’d previously stayed at Highline Doubletree and had liked it. But, for this trip, I wanted something – different. I wanted something close to the slopes so I could comfortably go to my Adult Beginner Half Day Group Ski Lesson with Vail Mountain class without problems – and was in Vail proper.
After looking at options, there was only one choice – the Four Seasons Resort Vail.
Location
The location of the Four Seasons Resort Vail is absolutely exceptional. The hotel was decked out and absolutely beautiful. Everything that I imagined it would be – it actually was.
It’s the little things that – when they are so tastefully and beautifully done – stand out so well.

Stay and Room
My room was absolutely gorgeous and visually delicious. There aren’t words to say how much I love this room. It reminded me of everything I loved about my stay at Alila Napa Valley – but, nestled high in the mountains of Colorado.

In fact, it is one of my favorite hotel rooms that I’ve stayed at in the world. Well, along with Park Hyatt Istanbul Macka Palas and others.
The view from my room was absolutely stunning. The fireplace in the room was a true welcomed reprise from my time on the mountain, after a rather freezing ski lesson.

Service
Service at the hotel was impeccable. Between needing to buy emergency replacement ski goggles for ski class to casual conversations with staff, everything was fantastic. Plus, the private shuttle truly came in handy, as I didn’t want to learn the bus schedule.

Restaurants
I greatly enjoyed spending time at The Remedy Bar and Flame Restaurant for drinks and breakfast.

Plus, the Four Seasons Vail was an exceptionally short walking distance to my favorite restaurant in Vail, Alpenrose Vail .
Overall
Overall, I absolutely loved my stay at the Four Seasons Vail. My stay at the hotel truly gave me a space to breathe and have a sense of myself again in a comfortable, restful environment.
And that is all I wanted.
