Tapa Del Toro at TorvehallerneKBH

Walking from Villa Copenhagen to TorvehallerneKBH for lunch at Tapa Del Toro was a beautiful way to enjoy a sunny day in Copenhagen, Denmark

Check in at Villa Copenhagen was smooth after a rather early morning in Lisbon. Our check in service person, who was exceptionally friendly, eagerly suggested a walk to TorvehallerneKBH, an outdoor market, because it was such a beautiful sunny day outside.

Now, what is a “short walk” to a Danish person is – um, not a short walk. At all. It’s a solid mile – and more – when you factor in wandering and being visually in love with Danish architecture and lore.

Eventually, we arrived at TorvehallerneKBH open market. Immediately, I was excited.

We walked around a bit, trying to see what jumped out and enticed us. I quickly found Tapa Del Toro and decided that the selection was good enough to stay awhile, eat and enjoy.

I picked out a few tapas: MONTSANT GRENACHE, SPANSK KODBOLLE,  SERRANO & MANCHEGO, CHORIZO, and OLIVENTAPANADE. Plus a lovely glass of wine.

I was exceptionally amused that I’d just flown in from Portugal, only to have Spanish food in Copenhagen.

Afterward, it was so fun to walk around TorvehallerneKBH and take in more of what the open market had to offer.
