Kalaset

Brunch at Kalaset was the perfect local neighborhood spot to eat nourishing and delicious food in Copenhagen, Denmark

After sleeping in a bit longer than expected, we completely missed the morning breakfast buffet at Villa Copenhagen. Luckily, during the check in process, the hotel emailed me a digital guestbook, full of curated selections for the area.

While lazily waking up to my surroundings, I opened the guestbook link and browsed the suggestions. My eyes immediately fell on Kalaset. Within a few minutes, we were off in a Viggo (the local ride hailing service) toward brunch.

I ordered the ITALIAN ROAST BEEF SANDWICH (On sourdough, with buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, tomato, olive tapenade, caramelized onions. With fries & smoked chili mayo).

My partner greatly enjoyed his dish as well.

What I love about Copenhagen is that the food is not only visually beautiful – but, you can taste the quality of ingredient sourcing with every bite.

Along with a cappuccino and a sunny beautiful day in Copenhagen, and it was a wonderful start to celebrate my birthday in Denmark.
