TC Oraganic

TC Oraganic is the perfect spot for excellent brunch in Playa Del Rey, California. And a great spot to stop during a 15 mile long bike ride.

On a beautiful weekend morning, I got the brilliant idea to organize a bike ride among friends. Rosemary suggested that we do the Ballona Creek Bike Path to Marina Del Rey and back. The great thing about the Ballona Creek path is that it intersects with the Marvin Baude Trail, along the beach.

So, on a brilliantly overcast day, we all met at Syd Kronthenthal Park in Culver City and began our ride.

Riding along Ballona Wetlands Ecological Reserve to the Pacific Ocean was outstanding. The seven miles flew by on my seat.

When we reached the Marina Del Rey Jetty, we stopped and assessed ourselves. A few of us were craving coffee. So, Leanne searched for places in the area that fit the bill. After a quick search, she picked TC Organic. A short bike ride later, along the beach and up Culver Blvd, we arrived.

Settling in to our seats,  the ocean air enveloped us.

Looking at the menu, I knew that I wanted something nutrition forward and nourishing. So, I ordered the EL VALIENTE (Beets, kale, celery, apple, lemon). It was absolutely perfect after such a grind of a ride.

For a main dish, I split the KELP GUILTY NOODLES (Kelp noodles, green onion, avocado, radish, pickled cabbage and cucumber with miso dressing) with Miko. It was absolutely fantastic. The kitchen had time to split the bowl between us. Miko also made the outstanding move of ordering a side of CARNITAS.

Truly, we all loved what we ordered. Splitting the kelp noodles as a fantastic move, as it allowed me to eat a little bit for sustenance  – and not get totally stuffed.

As we got back our bikes to ride a little over 7 miles back to our starting point, I felt comfortably satiated and ready to pedal on.
