Los Agaves Mexican Restaurant was a solid answer to the question "is there good Mexican food in Westlake Village"?
Arriving at Los Agaves Mexican Restaurant, I didn’t know what to expect. Could there be a decent Mexican restaurant in Westlake Village? I was determined to find out.
As our group waiting for our table to be ready, I noticed an aptly placed beverage cart next to the host stand outside. After a light exchange with the bartender, I started with a MEZCAL OLD FASHIONED, made fresh.
Now, there’s one thing that I did not expect. For some reason I can’t quite put my finger on – the CHIPS AND SALSA at Los Agaves is absolutely delicious. I literally went through two bowls.
Plus, Katharine shared with us soaps that she’d purchased during a recent trip to Vermont. I absolutely love my Lavender and Patchouli soap from Grace and Miss Mouse Soaps. The fragrance is awesome.
For dinner, I enjoyed the AGAVES ENCHILADAS (Fresh fish & shrimp, red pepper and onions topped with chipotle sauce. Served with rice and house salad). Instead of the salad, I ordered BEANS. It was all rather tasty.
We all walked over to Tifa Chocolate & Gelato and I enjoyed a cup of STRAWBERRY ROSE GELATO split with LEMON GELATO.
Such a delicious end to a lovely meal with friends.
