Seabutter in Westlake Village offers a delicious sushi dining experience, blending traditional Japanese techniques with modern flair.
If there’s one thing I love, it’s sharing good sushi in a warm and inviting environment with friends. When it was time for our party of six to meet for a group lunch, I picked Seabutter in Westlake Village.

The MUSHROOM MISO was light and a great way to warm up the taste palate. I enjoyed it with the EDAMAME to start.

The CRISPY ALBACORE (spicy albacore with cucumber topped with albacore sashimi & crispy onion) and the PRESSED TAIL (spicy yellowtail & jalapeno topped with yellowtail, mushrooms & soy truffle sauce) came out first. The pressed tail was an absolute revelation in taste and presentation.

As other friends raved about the SUNSET ROLL (spicy tuna, asparagus, & avocado topped with yellowtail sashimi, cilantro & sweet yuzu sauce), that was next up. Along with the SALMON AVO (salmon & avocado inside seared salmon on top, topped with artichoke truffle & lemon olive oil).

As the conversation flowed, it was a pleasurable treat to eat some of the best rolls I’ve had in LA. It was shocking how delicious it was – for such a great price.
With numerous locations in Los Angeles, I look forward to my next visit to this casual yet delicious sushi restaurant.
