Campfire Adirondack Grill + Bar, the in house restaurant of Hotel Saranac, was a great spot for dinner in Upstate New York
After checking it to the Hotel Saranac, I realized I was starving. Even though I had lunch earlier at The Tap House at Catamount Glass in Vermont, it turns out that driving through a new part of a state, stopping and really adventuring can make you hungry around 7pm.
Settling in, I took in the environment. It was modern and exactly what I expected from the Curio Collection property.
I started with the FARM POTATO CHIPS (warm spinach dip) and continued with the SEARED SCALLOPS (Canadian Sea Scallops, Mint Couscous, Baby Bok Chop, Charred Corn and Chorizo Puree, Chili Roasted Pepitas).
The chips and dip were great. The Canadian sea scallops were as close to Canada that I got during this trip. The drinks – a beer and a cocktail were strong and settled my nerves.
After a long day of travel from South Carolina to Atlanta and then Albany – I finally felt a bit more settled in New York.. and ready for a good night’s sleep for the next part of my adventure.
