Thompson Seattle

Thompson Seattle was a perfect place to stay for a very lovely, low key Winter weekend in Seattle, Washington

There’s something to be said about booking the right place at the right time. During previous trips to Seattle, I’d stayed at The Arctic Club. It had been great for the memories. But for this trip, I wanted a new place for a new vibe.

When my friend Ted suggested trying out the Thompson Hotel brand, I was intrigued. As I’d recently reached Globalist status with Hyatt, I was curious as to what perks I would receive for booking. So, I thought, why not give a new brand a try?

Upon arrival, where to drop the car off at the valet was clearly marked and check in was a breeze. At first glance, I felt relaxed from travel in the relaxed refinement of the hotel lobby. I was also pleased at our complimentary upgrade upon check in. It was a great introduction to the benefits of being a Hyatt Globalist.

After receiving my welcome drink of sparkling wine, we made our way up to our upgraded room. All I could say was – I could get used to this. I absolutely loved the junior suite and appreciated the little details that made the room stand out.

The suite was spacious, with two bathrooms stocked with D.S. & DURGA products, an oversized living room with modern, updated decor.

The Thompson Hotel on Stewart Street in Seattle was absolutely perfect for a weekend in Seattle. It is walking distance from Pike Place Market and our upgraded suite offered a fantastic view of Puget Sound.

As a Globalist, breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Conversation Kitchen & Bar was complimentary. Sometimes, hotel restaurants are lackluster and lame. Namely, most Hilton properties. Not at Thompson Seattle – it was delicious.

Later, after dinner late night snacks at The Nest, the rooftop hotel bar, was the perfect way to end our weekend stay.

I look forward to the next time I’m in Seattle, for another stay at the Thompson Seattle.
