Suerte

Suerte restaurant's menu selections offer some of the best TexMex style cuisine I've enjoyed in Austin, Texas.

Looking for a great dinner choice before the Dave Matthews Band concert that evening, I settled on Suerte. I’d had my uncertainty about traditional TexMex cuisine. Plus, I’d gotten close to arguing with someone in San Antonio about their superiority complex in comparing regional Texas cuisine to Southern Californian. But, after reading a review of Suerte in the American Express Departure’s magazine, I was intrigued.

Once I arrived, I was impressed.

The service was fantastic. The food was colorful and flavor filled. It was actually a pleasure to enjoy the creations that Suerte had to offer.

The CEVICHE DE COCO (lime cured shrimp, spiced coconut milk, onion relish, avocado, shaved macadamia) was so good, almost licked the plate.

The SUADERO TACOS (confit wagyu brisket, black magic oil, avocado crudo, onion y cilantro) were outstanding.

Simply put – If you’re in Austin, take some time to enjoy a meal at Suerte. It’s that good.
