Park City Peaks Hotel

Park City Peaks Hotel was a great hotel, styled in a midcentury ski lodge aesthetic, in Park City, Utah

In planning his January birthday trip, I knew that I wanted to go to a place that had snow, an interesting atmosphere and seemed fun. As we’d gone to Vail, Boulder and Denver last year, the idea of returning to Colorado was not high on my list.

After staring at a map of the United States, my eyes settled on Utah. Specifically, Salt Lake City. After consideration, I picked Park City. Then, a stay at Park City Peaks Hotel.

Location

What I truly loved about Park City Peaks Hotel is how close it was to the main area of Park City. It was easy to walk to the main strip and saunter and stroll.

Parking at the hotel was easy and complimentary. Plus, check in was a breeze.

Room + Stay

I actually really enjoyed the room. Specifically, because I’d called earlier in the week and asked for a room with a beautiful view. Through a really awesome conservation with the front desk agent, I not only got a room with a view of the Wasatch Mountains – but, also a recommendation to visit the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah.

The design of the room was so kitch and yet so modern at the same time. It was a very distinct design that fit the vibe. The bed was comfortable.

Even though I usually have a bad time at night and can’t seem to sleep well above 5,280 ft until I get acclimated over the course of a few days, (Park City is 6,936′; Denver is 5280′; Mammoth Lakes is 7,881′; Whistler is 7,156′), I took a CBD gummy that I bought in town and managed to deal with my elevation insomnia for the duration of the trip.

Service

I loved the little perks of the hotel. One night, there was a Complimentary Hot Cocoa Bar with Cocoa + Cookies. Also, after walking Park City and realizing that all the dinner spots had ridiculously long waits, we came back to Versante Hearth + Bar and had an OUTSTANDING time.

The hot tub, sauna and steam room were also a huge perk of the hotel.
