After a few days of enjoying the area around Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, I decided I wanted to get out and adventure. After looking at the map, I made a decision to wander close to the Canadian boarder, take a photo of the border, and head over to Vermont for a little road trip.

My drive north was one of pure pleasure. As I drove across the snow filled landscape, I marveled at how damn cold it was outside – and how used to it I’d become.

As I got close to the Canadian border, I did a quick search to see where a good place to stop and eat was in the area. After a relatively easy search, I chose Lakeside Coffee Roasters.

Now, I don’t remember what I had beyond a hot cup of coffee and a delicious sandwich. But, it was perfect to satisfy my wanderlust hunger.

Who knew one could find such simple yet delicious goodness seemingly out in the middle of nowhere?

Lakeside Coffee Roasters was a great stop before I began my trek down the beautiful backroads of Vermont.
