Dining at Tipsy Moose Tap & Tavern the night before, my pour of Equilibrium + Evil Twin NYC Straight Outta The Double Marshmallow Laboratory was poured in a curious cup. As I looked, I noticed it said the name of Fidens Brewing. I was curious. The next day, after I checked out of Hotel Trilogy Albany Airport, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, I took myself to Fidens Brewing for lunch.

Walking in, I was absolutely delighted with the space. It was large and beautifully designed.

I sat at the bar and browsed my potential noonday choices.

I ordered small pours – extended tasters of Rare Flowers in a Tomb (15% – Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson, Peacharine, Waimea, Galaxy & Motueka HopKief), Harvester of Sorrow (10% – Citra, Peacharine, Amarillo & Nectaron) and Jasper (7.8% – Citra).

The Jasper was bright and juicy on my tongue. The Harvester of Sorrow was deliciously hop forward and presented a really clean taste on my tongue. On the other side, the Rare Flowers in a Tomb was also bright, clean and deliciously hoppy. Overall, I really enjoyed these East Coast beers. It made me want to revisit Vermont and head up to Lawsons Finest Liquids again - or try out The Alchemist Brewery.
When my CHICKEN TENDERS & FRIES (24-hr brined & double-battered served with house made ketchup & your choice of 2 house-made dipping sauces) arrived – I was in absolute food heaven.

And the sauces were absolutely delicious. I ended up with the garlic buffalo sauce, lemon pepper wet sauce, Fidens sauce and Garlic Parmesan mixed with lemon pepper sauce.
It was absolutely delicious. The beers and food hit well above my expectations.

My visit to Fidens Brewing was the perfect finale to an already memorable trip, tying together great food, exceptional beer, and that unmistakable feeling of discovering a place that truly delivers comfort and deliciousness.
What began as simple curiosity – sparked by a glass at dinner the night before – turned into a genuinely enchanting experience. Walking out, full and happy, I felt grateful for the spontaneity that led me there.
