Dolphin Watching & Enjoying the Coastal Sea Caves of Portugal with Algar Experience Tours

The AlgarExperience tour of the dolphins & sea caves and arches off the Algrave Coast was a lovely experience off the coast of Albufeira, Portugal

Originally, I messaged the Conrad Algrave for recommendations regarding a caves tour. Delightfully, the hotel responded back with a referral for the AlgarExperience in Albufeira, Portugal.

After a relatively short drive from the Conrad Algrave, I arrived and found parking to be easy around the marina. The buildings of the marina were vibrant against the clear blue sky. The buildings that towered above the stores looked like a vapor wave dream.

Check in at AlgarExperience area was easy.

A little bit before the departure time, we were all guided to the boarding dock by a guide, while being informed on the morning’s events.

Then, we all boarded the boat and were directed to seats.

With my camera ready, I was excited what was to come.

Easing out of the marina, the boat was a comfortable and smooth ride out. Immediately, I felt relaxed. The coastline of Portugal was visually delicious.

The boat stopped at vista points and we were able to take photographs. I absolutely loved how many caves and natural arches were around the area.

The water was beautiful. I loved seeing the kayakers enjoying their self powered vessels.

The Bengali Sea Cave was just as beautiful as viewing the Marietas Islands off of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. But what I enjoyed the most about this coastal cruise is that there were so many areas off the coast of Portugal to enjoy.

And the dolphins?

I never knew the North Atlantic Ocean could be so beautiful and clear.

The dolphins danced and jumped out of the water and I was mesmerized by the perfect beauty of it all.

It was just fun.

Even though the tour advertised swimming, we didn’t stop for swimming. Instead, after about 2 hours, we returned to the marina.

As we disembarked, I felt complete in the experience.

It was exactly what I wanted. This AlgarExperience excursion confirmed that flying to Faro first – before driving to Lisbon – was the right choice to taste what Portugal has to offer.
