Dinner and breakfast at Louro at the Conrad Algarve was a refreshing and delicious take on Portuguese cuisine in the Algarve Coast of Portugal
After checking into the Conrad Algarve, dinner at Louro was easy and beautiful way to enjoy the sunset and delicious food.

There’s something special about coming to dinner and having a guitar player serenade patrons as the sun sets along the coastline.
As an amuse-bouche, a pork taco with celery was sent out by the kitchen. It was, in short, delicious.
I ordered a delicious Quinta do Cidrô 2018 Pinot Noir from the Douro region. This was – a reason to come to Portugal. We began with PISTACHIO HUMMUS AND GRILLED PEACH (Pistachio hummus, grilled peach, red berries dressing and balsamic vinegar).

The SMOKED PORK PRESAL (Black pork presa served with Granny Smith apple textures, potato fondante, hazelnut salt and calvados jus) was an incredible piece of pork. With this, I enjoyed a glass of the 2020 Quinta do Crasto ‘Crasto’ from Douro, Portugal. This was a magnificent introduction to the pure flavors of the region.

As the sun set, I felt tears fill my eyes with sheer appreciation and gratitude of the moment. The stress of travel slowly unwound as I felt myself take up space in the present.
For desert, we shared the PEACH GOURMANDISE (Peach textures, chocolate caramelia cremeux, peanut crumble and salted peanut ice cream).
This was – decadent. The peanut ice cream was creamy, salty deliciousness.
Additionally, breakfast at Louro was just as delicious.

I loved the array of fresh cheeses, breads, and more, artfully displayed in the buffet. It was the perfect way to start the morning, before heading to the AlgarExperience Coastal Tour of Dolphins & Benagil Caves experience.
