After leaving Hotel Eldorado for Les Catacombes de Paris, I felt grateful for the bit of sleep I’d managed to get. Still, one thing lingered: hunger. I was extremely hungry. And since we’d arrived a little earlier than our entry time, I was eager to find something satisfying.
We wandered among a few bistros, scanning menus, until I suggested we stop at Cafe Daguerre. Amy agreed, and we took a seat.

I looked at the HOT TARTINES and immediately settled into which would satisfy my craving. I chose the CLASSIC (Bread, olive oil, Emmental, cooked ham, gratinated mozzarella).

When it arrived, I was instantly delighted. The first bite was delicious, and I savored every bit of it. Before long, it was time to settle the check and move on, but I left truly grateful for that quick, perfect French bistro moment.
