Comptoir Principal

Comptoir Principal in Paris offers a refined French menu with elegant presentations and attentive service in a stylish setting near the Eiffel Tower

After an evening at Les Catacombes de Paris, Amy, her friend Adrienne and I had a few hours to spend before our timed ticket for the Eiffel Tower: Second Floor Experience with a Glass Of Champagne.

So, taking the metro from the catacombs to the stop closest to the Eiffel Tower, we emerged hungry for a place to sit and snack.

Walking a bit, Amy felt drawn to finding a place with a more comprehensive menu for dinner. As we strolled and checked different food reviews online, we found ourselves in front of Comptoir Principal.

After we collectively browsed the menu, we made our way inside.

I ordered a very simple combo of ISPAHAN COCKTAIL (Vodka, sirop de rose maison, purée de framboise, litchi, citron vert) and Fries.

To put it simply – it’s the little details that make the happiest memories. As we sat, talked and remarked about each of our travels, it was such a pleasure to enjoy hot fries and a cool cocktail.

And as we settled the bill and made our way out to walk to the Eiffel Tower, I truly appreciated the stop for light snacks and conversation.
