It was still dark outside when Amy and I made our way down for breakfast at Hotel Eldorado Paris. Setting in, being the only two people there at the kitchen staff began the day, was a peaceful beginning.
As we settled into our own tables next to each other and browsed the menus, I felt myself settling into my rituals of travel. Especially, with getting used to reading French.

I ordered the Continentale which translated to VIENNOISERIE TOAST (butter and jam), FRESHLY SQUEEZED JUICE, HOT DRINK and EGG OF YOUR CHOICE.
As I don’t eat eggs, I asked if I could switch it out for something else. The server immediately said yes, and suggested the avocado toast.
Of course, I ordered a cappuccino. Because, it’s my favorite coffee drink to order while in Europe.

When my avocado toast arrived, all I could say was – this is what I wanted. It was gorgeous. And the plate was stunning as well.

After handing the poached egg to Amy, I set in on the toast.
It was so good. As I scarfed it down, I wished we didn’t have to rush and could savor our moment there a bit longer.

But, before we knew it, it was time to head to the Starbucks at 2 Rue de la Pépinière.
