Bludso's BBQ has continued to be my favorite place for delicious Central Texas style smoked barbecue in Los Angeles
I had been having a shit week, with jet lag after being in Europe for 14 days and an overall feeling of low energy and depression. So, I really would have rather been at home. But, as it was my turn as hostess for one of my monthly dining clubs, rallied and looked forward to hosting at Bludso’s BBQ.
To chill a bit, I ordered the PRIVATE PLANE (Old Forrester Bourbon, Nonino, Angelino, Lemon, Kunquat, Peach) cocktail. It was light and refreshing and did its job well.
To start the hosting duties off right, I ordered the CHIPS & QUESO (Homemade Chips, Creamy Queso, Fresno Pepper, Texas Caviar), HUSHPUPPIES (Served with Chipotle Buttermilk) and LOADED FRIES (Buffalo Chicken, Pulled Pork or Brisket) for the table.
For the table to share as our main dishes, I wanted to showcase my favorites of Texas BBQ. So, I ordered the CHICKEN, PORK RIBS and BRISKET.
For sides, I ordered the MAC N’ CHEESE, BAKED BEANS and COLLARD GREENS. The CORNBREAD was a must. Along with a personal order of PICKLES.
For dessert, we all shared orders of BANANA PUDDING and BLACKBERRY COBBLER with ice cream.
Overall, it was a perfect turn as a hostess for my monthly dining club.
Rave reviews all around.
