Avanti Food & Beverage

Avanti Food & Beverage in Denver is a trendy, collective eatery housed in a modern space with a variety of chef-driven food concepts.

When Sean suggested meeting him and his wife Kendra at Avanti Food and Beverage, I didn’t know what to expect. However, it was just like dining at TorvehallerneKBH in Copenhagen: a food hall with various food vendors to choose from. With rooftop seating offering scenic views of the Denver skyline, it provides a dynamic dining experience – and it was perfect.

I started off with a pint of the HAZER TAG IPA (7%, HAZY IPA – passion fruit, citrus, hoppy) from Odell Brewing in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I chose Bowls by KO  and ordered the TUNA POKE BOWL (white rice, yellowfin tuna in ponzu sauce, sesame cucumber salad, avocado, sriracha mayo, furikake, scallions)

Next up was New Image Brewery’s CORIOLIS EFFECT (6.5%, New Zealand IPA – hops from New Zealand and modeled after a hazy New England-style IPA) from Arvada, Colorado.

I finished with a Left Hand Brewing’s MILK STOUT (6.0%, milk stout – roasted chocolate malt with notes of coffee) out of Denver, Colorado.

As the sun set against the downtown Denver skyline, I was incredibly thankful for my experience. Plus, Sean and Kendra are one of the most charismatic couples I know. It’s always awesome when you know two people who actually met in college, stayed together and are still happily in love.

Sometimes, all you need is a five-hour conversation, filled with humor and sharp wit and brutal honesty – while enjoying beers in the warm summer air.
