Alta Adams was a welcomed joy of Southern comfort cuisine in West Adams, California
Hungry on a weekend night, we found ourselves in West Adams at Alta Adams. I was excited for the southern comfort food meets Los Angeles aesthetics.
After being led to our table, we ordered.
We shared the BLACK EYED PEA FRITTERS WITH SPICY HERB SAUCE. This was delicious. The only thing I wish is that they had fried okra. But, it was well worth the order because it was lovely.
For dinner, I had the FRIED FISH WITH LEMON AND SPICY TARTAR SAUCE with sides of COLLARD GREENS and CANDIED YAMS WITH CANDIED PECANS. This just made my Southern Heritage heart happy.
Especially, along with the CORNBREAD WITH HONEY BUTTER to share.
For dessert, the BANANA PUDDING offered a well rounded sense of completion to the meal.
