ABC Kitchen

Lunch at Chef Jean-Georges’ ABC Kitchen in Union Square offered a focus on high quality, farm to table cuisine - with taste to match

When looking for a place to meet Jason for lunch, he suggested ABC Kitchen. So, after a morning filled with errands at The Strand Bookstore and packing for Germany, I arrived.

Upon first look at ABC Kitchen, it looked lovely. It felt distinctly rustic yet modern and refined at the same time. I could clearly see the focus on nature as well as quality cuisine.

We ordered the YELLOWFIN TUNA TARTARE (Calabrian chili vinaigrette, feta cheese, seeded flatbread) to share. For a drink, I had the BARTLETT DAIQUIRI (coconut washed street pumas rum, massanez pear brandy velvet falernum, pear, nutmeg, lime).

For lunch, I enjoyed the GRASS FED CHEESEBURGER (herbed mayonnaise, pickled jalapeños, hand cut fries). What I appreciated is that the burger was perfectly sized to be savored and finished.

It was a lovely lunch to say goodbye to my time in New York with.
