Vermont is a state that rewards those who seek the road less traveled – especially when that road is dusted with snow. Nestled in the heart of New England, Vermont transforms in winter into a postcard come to life: snow, frozen lakes and charming towns abide.
Whether I was doing tiny runs at Sugarbush Resort or drinking beer, Vermont in winter is an experience that gets me every time.
Of course, no Vermont adventure is complete without raising a glass to the state’s legendary craft beer scene. From the cult-followed Heady Topper to the inventive seasonal pours flowing out of dozens of independent taprooms, the state has earned its reputation as a true mecca for beer lovers. And I’ve had some outstanding ones.
I’ve also included my reviews of Montreal, Quebec, as it’s just a short drive north across the border – 2 hours away.
