The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta blends retro charm and coastal style, with a pool, on-site dining, and convenient access to Santa Barbara

The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta gave exactly what it promised: retro surfer-chic vibes with a laid-back, unpretentious charm. It wasn’t trying to be The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara or Rosewood Miramar Beach – and it didn’t need to be. After hours of dancing at the Justice and The Dare concert at the Santa Barbara Bowl, it was the perfect crash pad: comfortable, stylish, and easy.

Speaking of the Santa Barbara Bowl – I was blown away. The venue was beautiful, the energy was electric, and everyone was shockingly very friendly. I even chatted with some fellow Justice fans who had also been at the Hollywood Bowl show last year – and we all agreed: the Santa Barbara one was a much better vibe.

So, I booked The Leta knowing I wouldn’t want to drive back to LA after the show, especially since traffic getting up there took two hours. Plus, it gave me the perfect excuse to meet Derrick for lunch at Third Window Brewing the next day.

Room & Stay

The hotel has a charming two level, motel-style layout. My pool-facing second-floor room was cute. Checking in via the app was easy. So, I just dropped my bag off, went to the bar for a cocktail and came back to write.

In the morning, I noticed that it wasn’t exactly soundproof. I could hear someone chatting on the phone outside in the morning and a faint train horn in the distance. None of it was a dealbreaker – just part of the ambiance and what I expected.

Personally, I wouldn’t stay more than a night or two. But, for a post-concert wind-down, it checked all the boxes.

Restaurant & Bar

I got a fantastic cocktail at The Leta Bar – the OLD WOODY (Bourbon, Demerara Sugar, Orange Bitters, Angostura Bitters).  The bartender added some coffee liquor, which made it extra special.

In the morning, I dined at Come As You Are. It was a simple breakfast – and great.

Overall

I don’t know what was up with some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. Some people just need to relax. The Leta Santa Barbara Goleta was a very chill place to sleep and get started on the day.
