The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara

A weekend at the The Ritz-Carlton Bacara offered a luxurious, warm and inviting stay in Santa Barbara, California

Desiring a weekend away in Santa Barbara, there were only three things that I wanted: I wanted to go horseback riding, go wine tasting and stay at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara.

I love it when a good plan comes together.

So, after horseback riding at Circle Bar B Stables and relaxing during wine tasting at Kalyra Winery in Los Olivos, it was time to check in to the Ritz-Carlton Bacara.

Stay

Staying at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara was a lovely experience. I greatly enjoyed the details of the California Spanish inspired hotel room. I brooked a garden view room, which allowed us to view bunnies hoping beyond our patio.

Pool wise, the pools were lovely. I loved how I could stand at one part of the hotel and see the two pools, with the Pacific Ocean in the background.

Beach Access

Beach access was easy and truly nice to have. You’re warned that there is tar naturally occurring on the beach. So, there are products in your room to clean it off your shoes and feet if it affects you.

Service

To get around the property, you can request a golf cart pick up or walk.

It was easy to request.

Dining

Dining on the property was top notch. There was simply no need to venture back into Santa Barbara for any other choice of cuisine.

Poolside drinks at Haskell’s Poolside Bar were a great start to the weekend.

I greatly enjoyed dinner at San Setto. The best part – beside the food? The view of the Pacific Ocean and the overall look and decor of the restaurant.

Unparalleled for ocean front dining with a lovely, California coastal vibe?

Priceless.

Alongside, breakfast at The Bistro was delicious. It felt so good to enjoy delicious food while basking the California sunlight.

Overall

Overall, I absolutely loved my weekend stay at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara in Santa Barbara, California. Like I felt during my stay at the Ritz Carlton Aruba, and the Ritz Carlton Atlanta, there’s simply something special about the brand.

When done well, it’s exemplary.

When done wrong (as it was during a previous stay I had at this hotel), they will go OUT OF THEIR WAY to make it right.

Which is absolutely what one should expect from a hotel of this stature and brand quality.
