Dinner at The Kitchen in Jackson was a decent place for local fare in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
While relaxing at The Cloudveil, Autograph Collection, I decided that I wanted to try a local spot for dinner. After a quick search, I landed on The Kitchen and made a reservation.
It was a quick and invigorating walk from the hotel to the restaurant.
To start the evening off, I ordered the TEMPURA SHRIMP (spicy aioli, cabbage, togarashi).
For dinner, I ordered the PAPER PLANE (Wyoming whiskey, Aperol, Amaro Montenegro, lemon) with the PAN SEARED TROUT (Idaho steelhead trout, sweet potato puree, squash fingerling potatoes, brown butter cream sauce).
I found the drink delicious – but the trout lacking in creativity. It just felt – visually boring. I ate it, knowing that I expected more.
Overall, dinner was filling and I’m happy I ate at The Kitchen. However, the visual aspect of plating could have been improved. I feel I had a much more filling dinner at Gather in Jackson Hole for Food & Drink, the following night.
Afterward, I returned to the hotel and visited The Bistro for a nightcap of HUMBLE BREW ESPRESSO MARTINI (Stoli vanilla, Bailey’s, Kahlua, chocolate).
