Getting a poke bowl to go from The Fish Express gave me a taste of the best poke on Kauai, Hawaii
The main thing I wanted to do, before leaving Hawaii, was to have poke. So, on the way back from Waimea Canyon State Park to the airport, I had one focus in mind: get poke to go.
A quick search later and we were parked and ready to pick out delights from The Fish Express.
A scoop of AHI INAMONA/OGO POKE and AHI MAUI ONION POKE.
With a few scoops of seaweed and a few shakes of Furikake and pickled raddish and I was good to go.
The result was the best poke I have had.
I truly loved the feel of the bustling hotspot. There’s no where to sit and eat at the restaurant. I overheard someone inquire, and the staff suggested places to picnic. As for me, after surviving a ridiculously long line of TSA and finally being seated on the plane with my food present, my focus and determination was well rewarded.
