Poke Pola

Poke Pola is a fabulous Hawaiian inspired poke place that felt like I was back in Maui - and not in Long Beach, California

After taking my camera in for servicing at the Nikon Repair Center in Long Beach, I desperately needed food. Now, Long Beach technically isn’t far if you live in Los Angeles. But, factor in traffic on the 405 and you have a driving situation that could easily an hour and a half to go 40 miles.

One thing I’ve been craving since coming back from Hawaii is outstanding poke. So, after a quick search, I settled on heading over to Poke Pola, on 2nd Street.

And I was very glad I did.

I ordered the HALF AND HALF with chips and white rice. For my proteins, I ordered my bowl with TUNA, YELLOWTAIL and SALMON. For sauce, I added the  NIRVANA SPICY SAUCE and a few additional accoutrements for final toppings.

When I sat on the patio to enjoy my bowl, I remarked to myself how delicious it looked.

It was love at first bite.

The poke bowl was absolutely delicious. There were no leftovers.
