After a long day of juggling projects, it was well past time to track down dinner. Fortunately, Sara had recently recommended OyBar by Jeff’s Table in Studio City, and I decided it was the perfect chance to check it out.


First off the menu was an order of the PERUVIAN SCALLOP CRUDO (Calamansi, Aji Amarillo, Tamari, Shallot, Smoked Trout Caviar).
Sara swore by it. My server swore by it. And after my first bite—bursting with citrus, heat, and briny richness—I swore by it too. Absolutely phenomenal.


To drink, I went with the MANGO STICKY-ICKY (Rum, Mango, Toasted Rice, Coconut Milk, Thai Spice Bitters, Pandan Leaves) a creamy, tropical cocktail that paired perfectly with the spicy kick of the NEW G/OG BURGER (Toma Cheese, Horseradish Crema Fraiche, Shiso-Pickled Red Onion, Arugula). My server recommended the drink with the balance of the heat of the horseradish – and I loved it. It was so on spot delicious and really hit the spot.
But, I felt that it needed something as a side. So, I ordered the CRISPY POTATOES.
Overall, the whole experience was such a vibe. There’s something especially satisfying about trying a spot your friends rave about – and loving it every bit as much as they do.
