Pour Decisions in Studio City, is a laid-back brewpub offering creative small plates, juicy smash burgers, and a lineup of craft beers
What I appreciate most about having lunch with Kyle is how vast, deep, and detailed his movie knowledge is. Every time we sit down together, I know I’m going to walk away with a fresh take on a film or a perspective I hadn’t considered before.
It’s also pretty funny that, even though we both live in Los Angeles, our schedules are so packed that I joke about talking to him every day — but only actually seeing him two or three times a year. For our first lunch of the year, I decided to switch it up and try a new spot: Pour Decisions, which recently opened in the old Stout Burgers location on Ventura Blvd.
Right away, I appreciated the free parking lot — a true luxury on Ventura Blvd, where parking usually feels like winning the lottery.

After settling in and catching up, Kyle and I dove straight into reminiscing about vintage Siskel & Ebert movie reviews before shifting into the latest topics of the day over the FRIED PICKLES (served With House Remoulade Sauce).
For lunch, I had the CALI CLASSIC BURGER (Double Patty, Cheddar Cheese, House 1000 Island, Baby Gem Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Avocado Smash) with was filling and delicious.
But honestly, one of the best highlights was chatting with the owner about his vision for Pour Decisions, his other restaurant Brew Brothers, and the upcoming beer festival he’s hosting at Brews Brothers.
Who knows – with the Bespoke Art Society artist markets growing and plans to expand into other states, maybe planning and running a small beer festival could be on the horizon for me as well.
